Arachnophilia is our favorite freeware (or should we say careware) html editor. Many advanced features. LWL Enterprises' webmaster uses it often on our coding for this site.

Ariadna is a very nice compact alternative browser, developed in Russia. They have since pulled this version, and are developing it further, to sell retail. This is the last freeware version available, and is rarely found on the web any more. We have a precious archived copy we are sharing with you.

Cool Edit v1.53 is an older Win3.1, 16 bit version of a darn good wav editor. While you may only access two functions at a time, it saves to disc, and is fully functional.

Multiquence v1.02 is a very nice wave mixer. It can handle up to 32 tracks, in stereo too. Many nice features. While technically it is a shareware program, it allows saving, and is fully functional. Winamp v2.05 is a very nice mp3 player. It supports m3u lists, has an equalizer, and many other nice features. It supports winamp skins, winamp plugins, and much else. It may be an older version of winamp, but is well worth having, as unlike the newer versions, it does not have extra popup garbage written into the program. Worth having.

Esplit is a totally free DOS filesplitter.

Rawrite is a freeware DOS utility, for writing image files to disc.

ProSplitter is a shareware file splitter, but is fully functional. Nice for splitting a big program onto floppy discs. Also, Read Me Please for more program information. (Remember, a left click on a text or html file will open it. To save it to disc, right click on it, then left click save.)

MFC42.dll is a Windows 9x, and on, dynamic link library. Some programs need this to run. It goes in "Windows\System" folder.

Splitz is a shareware file splitter, but is fully functional. Nice for splitting a big program onto floppy discs.

Gif Animator is a very nice, fairly simple program to make and edit animated gif's. Best part is, it's totally free.

WinScanner is a very nice freeware program aimed at scanned digital images, or for handling imported digital camera pictures. Worth getting. We like it.

Lor's Smart Chess is a freeware chess game written by our webmaster. See if you can out think your computer! Though this game is freeware, you need a password to unpack it. So you need to also read the password text file. (Remember, a left click on a text or html file will open it. To save it to disc, right click on it, then left click save.)

Printkey is a nice screen capture utility, that also converts many image types. This is an older freeware version. (Newer version is retail now.) It's free, and works fairly well. Once in a while it may "hang". Simply reset to default, exit program, and restart it up, if this happens. Other than this minor bug, it's well worth having on your computer.

Crypto is a nice program for encrypting a file with password protection. Useful for email to keep prying eyes out of something you want to be confidential. KPK File is a nice security utility. You can make hidden folders on your computer. Then you can stash your private goodies in them. No one may access these folders without the correct password, or even know that you have these secret folders! Nice for privacy on a shared family computer. PureVoice by Qualcomm is a very nice voice recorder program. It has a superior sound quality, yet has a high audio compression; leading to a very small size, in comparison to a wave recording. Nice for a quick voice message sent as an email attachment. We like this program very much.

Zip Central is an excellent zip and unzip program. Many great features. Beats Winzip's price, cuz it's totally free! Webmaster uses this all the time. This is an older freeware version. Newer versions are now demo, and cost money. As far as we know, you cannot find this version on the web anymore. We are generously sharing an old archived copy with you. Get it while you can! We recommend this program, and like it very much.

A Christmas Screensaver is brought to you compliments of everyone here at LWL Enterprises. Santa is on a train traveling with presents, through the snowy countryside; while some cheerful and traditional Christmas carols play in the background. [Of course you need a configured sound card and speakers, to listen to the music. Also, screen display must be set to High Color 16, 24, or 32 bit; for optimum graphics display. ] (A setting of 16 color, or 256 color, gives bad graphics display. Of course, nobody uses these settings anymore, unless their computer is ancient, or has a really bad video card...)
